‘PHONEBOX MILLIONAIRE’ TO SPEAK AT INSIDER POWERING BUSINESS EVENT
As attentions turn from business survival to growth, Insider is holding a special evening networking event for entrepreneurs looking to take their business to the next stage.
Stephen Fear, the entrepreneur, businessman, philanthropist and author with over 40 years’ international business experience, joins Insider’s superb line-up at the Powering Business event on 22 October.
Often referred to as ‘The Phonebox Millionaire’, Fear is also notable for being an ambassador and Entrepreneur in Residence at the British Library; a position formerly held by the late Dame Anita Roddick. Based in Bristol, he has an established property empire and interests in a number of industries, including green technology, hotels, residential care and manufacturing.
Joining him are Chris Ormrod of Ministry of Cake and Neill Ricketts of Versarien, both successful entrepreneurs and business owners.
At Ministry of Cake, Ormrod led a management buyout last year that has since seen the business grow 32 per cent through winning new customers – the largest of which being an international coffee chain. This past year has also seen the business purchase additional manufacturing facilities in Torquay for a new subsidiary.
Neill Ricketts is at the helm of Versarien, the AIM-listed engineering firm. The company specialises in ground-breaking graphene technology. During his career, which includes directorships at AIM-quoted companies, Ricketts has introduced and commercialised new technologies, including new materials and coatings for diverse sectors from aerospace to Formula One, including significant work in the oil and gas sector.
Insider’s Powering Business event takes place on the evening of 22 October in Bath. The event is a chance to hear from and ask questions of those who have been there, done it and are ready to share the trials and tribulations on their road to success.
The event takes place from 5.30pm on 22 October 2015 at the Hilton Bath City Hotel in Bath. Sponsors are AgencyUK, ICAEW, Mazars and UBS. To register your interest to attend, click here.
