Family Business Next Generation: Fear Group
We are hosting our seventh Next Generation event with guest speaker Leon Fear, Director of Fear Group.
This event is an opportunity for you to meet and share your experiences with other next generation members from a wide variety of local family businesses. Whether you are considering joining the family business or have already taken over from the previous generation, you are welcome to attend.
Fear Group was founded in 1969 by Bristol born Dr Stephen Fear, often referred to as the “Phonebox Millionnaire”, as an industrial chemical manufacturer and distributor. It has now evolved into a multifaceted international business with interests in many sectors including key worker accommodation, affordable housing, manufacturing, hotels, property investment, student accommodation and the care industry.
Leon Fear took a keen interest in the family business at an early age and later joined the family business at the age of 19 working on the construction sites. Now aged 32, Leon oversees Fear Group’s property interests and looks for new strategic land opportunities in the UK in both the residential and commercial sectors.
We are delighted that Leon will share his story of the history of his family business and its brilliant success. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and share experiences with other members of family businesses. There will then be drinks and a wonderful selection of pies from local family business, Pieminister.
