In 1922 a cooker which was to become loved the world over, especially in Britain, was invented by Swedish physicist Gustaf Dalen.

Manufactured in Britain since 1929, AGA was to become an iconic brand and a must-have for many English households, despite costing as much as many small cars to buy, install and run.
